MINI Christmas Reading: MC2 Magazine

Filed under: — Josh Wardell @ 7:27 pm

I’ve been eagerly awaiting my copy of the debut issue of MC2 Magazine and it finally arrived today! MCsquared is the first MINI enthusiast magazine in the US, and with the recent demise of GoMini Magazine in the U.K., it is now the only one in the world. Barry and Gary have been taunting us with previews for the past few months, and we were first able to make our charter subscriptions in November.

The debut issue has some great articles, including accounts of MINIsOnTop and other motoring events around the country this year. (I had hoped that some of my MOT photos made it in but sadly no…in fact my MINI cannot be seen in any of the MOT photos!) There is also some helpful tips, MINI-related news stories, and I actually find the MINI-specific advertisements interesting as well.

They are just starting up so you probably will not be able to find MC2 at your local bookstore for a while. If you want to check out a copy, ask your MINI dealer as each was sent several copies to display. Or you could just blindly subscribe off their website, $25 for 1 year/6 issues. Makes a perfect Christmas gift! So I’ll be reading MC2 this Christmas weekend instead of the several other car mags that I still have to read.

  2. I submitted the photos, Josh…honest! Personally, I think there could have easily been more photos included with the article. However, the Editor always has final say, so go figure.

  3. I was told only 4 issues this coming year? Yes? No? Sure hope they last and get better.
