Mud Dock Tavern Artifacts, Oswego Canal
Project Description: Analysis of artifacts from a nineteenth-century tavern along the Oswego Canal, with concerns for understanding regional trade patterns, glass manufacturing industries, etc.

| Illustrating Archeology: Photography, Drawing, Architectural Reconstruction |
| Project Description: A fundamental aspect of archeology is the presentation of the finds received in a manner which clearly illustrates details of construction, decoration, and stylistic attributes. Often this may involve special techniques to draw out details or reconstruct the original form. |
| Student Roles/Responsibilities: Students will work with the professor in illustrating archeological finds, features, and sites from a variety of projects in West Africa. Students will meet regularly with professor. Precise focus of work will be decided at time of enrollment. |
| Minimum Qualifications: Students should have experience, with 1-2 years coursework in photography, drawing, or architecture. Students must obtain my permission before enrolling. Majors in the respective areas are probably best. |
