Welcome! If this is your first time visiting, please read the About page first. Please pay attention to the simple policies.

The server is now in its last few hours! Among all the Binaural excitement, the archive must go down forever on May 14th. It has been a great four years. Thanks for all your great feedback and support!
Don't forget to preorder Binaural and have it arrive on your doorstep May 16th. While you're waiting, there are some live tracks in the Binaural directory.

Site closing details: I am graduating on May 14th, and of course must leave this wonderful network connection that has been so graciously providing the world with some great Pearl Jam over the years. Due to the fact that I will never have a similiarly high-speed premanent connection, nor will I have the time to devote to the site, it is time to close things down. Thankfully, there are a ton of sites out there now that offer similiar collections; good collection of links is located at Dan's site. We've seen some amazing changes over the course of this web site. When I first put up my web server in 1996, there was a small underground mp3 trading community, and this site marked the first dedicated to non-album tracks of one artist. Now the music industry is moving towards capitalizing on the technology it previously fought, and mp3 sites can be found anywhere for anything. Epic is even hopping on the bandwagon, releasing Nothing As It Seems to the net even before the radio, and will offer all the albums to purchase download soon. This site has seen huge growth...from 100 MB/day to over 5 GB/day. And no one can forget the events preceding the release of Yield, when the site made national news. I have to thank all of you, who have contributed most of the music found here. Some have asked about taking over the archieve, and I truly appreciate the offers. However, I believe it is time to bring things to an end for the site. Anyone is of course welcome to grab everything I have and set up their own site. As far as what the future brings, I doubt I will start a similiar archive again. However, I will continue the Pearl Jam page on my web site with news or other occasional postings. It has truly been a great experience. Thank you all.

For those behind the times: Pearl Jam's sixth album, Binaural, has been announced. It will arrive on May 16. You may have heard the first single, Nothing As it Seems, on the radio (it is now available in stores). Pearl Jam has also annouced a U.S. and international tour. Synergy has all the dates and details. I have created a new directory for Binaural on the server...if anyone comes across any recordings of songs from the new album, email me and I'll try to get them from you to place on the server. Please don't email me with requests for studio versions, we all know what happenned last time... (On that note, if anyone has any recordings of that event, especially from MTV, ABC News, or my radio interviews, please email me)

Don't forget, for those of you who want to just grab everything, there is now ftp access to the site. Just ftp to jwardell.syr.edu, login/password mp3

You may have noticed the server unexpectedly going down once in a while. This is not a server problem, but the result of me trying to deal with many people abusing the server lately. Whether or not they are purposely meant to cause harm, many people are grabbing all the connections they can and maxxing out the server, not allowing anyone else in. Remember it is only "friendly" to take 4 web connections at a time. Additionally, programs such as GetRight are very badly programmed, and grab as many connections as are available, and completely ignore errors such as the file not existing or if they are banned. Do not use this software. Anyone discovered using GetRight will immediately and permanently be banned from the server! I'm sorry to be so strict, but it is hurting everyone else. If you want to grab everything as fast as possible you should use ftp.

Remember to support Pearl Jam! If you don't already have everything, here's some stuff to get: Live on Two Legs, Five Against One, Single Video Theory, not to mention all of Pearl Jam's stuff! Last Kiss is still available on the No Boundries CD.
